By middle school and high school, students are expected to learn large amounts of information independently. Yet many students are never explicitly taught how to determine what information is important or how to turn what they read into useful notes for studying.
The Read-A-Rific® Note-Taking Program includes 7 lessons that teach students a step-by-step technique for visualizing and taking notes from textbook-like material. Each lesson should take most students about 30 to 40 minutes to complete.

- Separate essential information from less important details

- Write clear notes in their own words
- Create a useful study guide while learning

- Learn more independently from textbooks and other academic materials
Students are guided through the process of reading the material, visualizing the information, determining what is most important, and writing notes that capture the essential ideas.
Instead of simply reading information and hoping they remember it later, students learn a structured process for identifying, organizing, and recording important information as they learn.
